GoalFlow update: Google sign-in, better deletion flow, and sharing improvements
This release adds Google authorization, clearer goal deletion dialogs, better sharing UX, improved comment timestamps, and updated product pages that explain the latest functionality.
We’ve shipped a new GoalFlow update focused on faster access, clearer workflows, and a better discussion experience.
What’s new in this release
Google authorization
You can now sign in with your Google account.
Why it’s useful:
- faster login and onboarding
- fewer passwords to remember
- reduced password reuse risk
- familiar Google sign-in flow
Security notes:
- GoalFlow does not store your Google password
- the backend verifies the Google identity token before creating an app session
- you still get a protected GoalFlow session after successful verification
Improved goal deletion dialog
The goal deletion window is now more informative and easier to understand.
Changed:
- clearer explanation that delete moves a goal into the deleted state
- more explicit actions such as Move to deleted and Keep goal
- preview of the selected goal inside the dialog
- inline error messages directly inside the modal
- better explanation when a goal cannot be deleted, for example when it is no longer active
Better goal sharing experience
We improved the sharing and discussion area to make collaboration easier.
Changed:
- clearer sharing panel structure
- note that sharing works with registered users
- better shared-user presentation
- improved feedback after sharing actions
- stronger email validation in the share flow
More accurate comment timestamps
We fixed comment time display issues where a freshly created comment could appear with the wrong relative time.
Result:
- new comments now display correct values such as just now or 1m ago
- day dividers like Today and Yesterday are also more accurate
Updated public product information
We refreshed public-facing product texts so the site better reflects the latest functionality.
Updated pages:
- Home
- About
- static About SEO page
These pages now better describe GoalFlow features, privacy, collaboration, and Google authorization benefits.
Summary
This release makes GoalFlow easier to access, easier to understand, and more comfortable to use day to day. Google sign-in speeds up authentication, deletion dialogs are clearer, sharing is smoother, and discussion timestamps are now more reliable.
